This move alone shows that if you can get past Rufus' comical exterior, a capable fighter hides within. Space Opera Symphony pummels Rufus' opponent with a horde of moves, including an armor-breaking roundhouse, and ends in an upward blast that sends his opponent flying.
Landing Rufus' most powerful moves - like his Ultra Combo that sports the delicious title "Space Opera Symphony" - is just a matter of getting in close and mixing them in with a normal combo. This can sometimes nick the opposing fighter on the way down, which is handy. However, if your opponent is coming in from the air, you could always use Rufus' Snake Strike, which unleashes a barrage of attacks after taking a quick hop upwards. The hefty warrior also has the Galactic Tornado at his disposal, which causes him to pirouette across the stage before landing a vicious palm attack. This gives Rufus players some flexibility when performing the attack, considering the initial kick can't be cancelled. After jumping through the air and kicking high, the Messiah Kick can lead right into another high jump attack, a sweep or a rising kick. One of Rufus' main Special Moves, the Messiah Kick, can be strung into one of three follow-up attacks - similar to El Fuerte's Habanero Dash. Regardless of his nature, Rufus has a nice collection of Unique Attacks to modify his normal ones, including a descending aerial kick that can be effectively followed with his rolling "Glory Kick." Rufus' Fragrance Palm can knock an opponent across the stage if it connects properly, and it doesn't require much build-up to execute. Rufus' style is probably mocking a Westerner's perception of Chinese martial arts, as his extravagant hand motions and wide-eyed facial expressions betray his Kung Fu aspirations.
